This course covers basic through advanced Web page authoring and design techniques using both HTML and WYSIWYG authoring software. HTML 4.0 will be taught including the use of Cascading Style Sheets and Dynamic HTML. The course will address the design of effective Web pages including page layout, user interface design, and graphic design. The use of design standards and templates is stressed to teach students to maximize site consistency. In the online exercises, students will study, create, and refine Web pages, as well as learning how to create basic Web graphics. This is a hands-on course where the students will develop their capabilities to actually apply the technologies used for construction of e-Commerce sites.
